Acta de Otorrinolaringología & Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello is a peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to the advancement of patient care in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. The journal publishes original articles related to clinical and basic science aspects of Otolaryngology. The journal reserves the right of exclusive publication of all accepted manuscripts. Manuscripts previously published or under review by another publication will not be considered for any possibility. Once accepted for review, the manuscript should not be submitted to another journal for publication.

Unethical publications, such as plagiarism, conflicts of interest, inappropriate authorship, and duplicate publication are prohibited. This includes publication in a non-Otorhinolaryngology journal or in another language. In case of doubt, disclosure is essential, and the Editor is available for consultation. Transfer of copyright to the journal is a prerequisite for publication.

All authors must sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement Document in favor of the journal Acta de Otorrinolaringología & Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello. This must be uploaded in the submission files.

Authors must disclose any financial relationship at the time of submission. Information that could be perceived as a potential conflict of interest, such as grants or funding, employment, affiliations, patents, inventions, honoraria, consultancies, royalties, stock options/ownership, or expert testimony, should be declared.

The journal accepts manuscripts related to general otolaryngology, sleep disordered breathing, upper airway related diseases, allergy rhinology, otology, otoneurology, laryngology, bronchoesophagology, pediatric otolaryngology, craniofacial surgery, skull base surgery, maxillofacial surgery, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck surgery, head and neck oncology, phoniatrics.

Any material previously published in other printed or electronic media must have the express written approval of the publisher or copyright holder. Authors who fail to comply with this requirement will be responsible for any legal action that may be taken by the owner of the rights. Acta de Otorrinolaringología & Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello is exempt from any responsibility in these cases. The source of funding must be mentioned before the bibliographic references. A written declaration of conflicts of interest is mandatory in those cases where it is applicable, otherwise it must be declared that there is no conflict of interest.
