Descending necrotizing mediastinitis: case report and literature review
Main Article Content
Abstract
Odontogenic infections affect 80-90% of the population and can lead to potentially fatal complications such as descending necrotizing mediastinitis, acute polymicrobial infection in the mediastinum with a mortality rate between 11-40%. Early detection and appropriate treatment represent influential factors in the prognosis of the disease.
